Introducing Our Editor of Global Health and Partnerships

5G Communication Technology Wireless Internet Network for Global Business Growth, Social Media, Digital E-commerce and Entertainment Home Use.

Some people bring ideas to a conversation. Dr. Sung Hwi Hong brings ideas, questions, energy, and usually a good laugh. I am delighted to welcome him as our Editor of Global Health and Partnerships at NexBioHealth.

I have known Sung Hwi for three years and consider him one of the most gifted people I have had the pleasure of working with. What stands out to me is his appetite for learning. He approaches unfamiliar subjects with curiosity and enthusiasm, and his sense of humor makes working with him a pleasure.

A physician and public health researcher, Sung Hwi studied Economics Mathematics at Columbia University, earned his medical degree at Yonsei University, and completed an MPH in Global Health at Harvard. He is now pursuing a DrPH at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and contributing to gastric cancer prevention research at Yale.

His work and volunteer experience have taken him to Africa, India, and South America. These experiences bring a personal dimension to his interest in global health and a broad perspective to the stories he helps us tell.

Readers can already see his contribution in this issue. He interviewed Dr. Killiam Argote-Araméndiz and connected us with Jess and The Leo Project, as well as Dr. Juan Carlos Anguiano. Their stories introduce different paths into community care, humanitarian medicine, and public health. Bringing these voices together is precisely what we hope this new editorial role will encourage.

Sung Hwi will help develop our global health coverage and build partnerships with people and organizations whose experiences can deepen our understanding of medicine. I look forward to seeing where his curiosity and connections take us, and I am pleased that our readers will now have the chance to get to know him, too.

Please join me in welcoming Sung Hwi to NexBioHealth.
